Terms of service
Effective November 5, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and bimpsin ("we", "us"), based in Manitoba, Canada. They cover the bimpsin app, the invitation pages at bimpsin.com and our text messages. By creating an account or using bimpsin, you agree to them and to our privacy policy.
Who can use bimpsin
You must be 18 or older, and able to agree to these terms. bimpsin is for personal use, making plans with people you know.
Your account
Use a phone number that's yours, and keep your phone and sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at privacy@bimpsin.com if you think someone else is using it.
Inviting people by text
When you add a friend who doesn't have bimpsin, we text them invitations to plans you invite them to, on your behalf. By adding someone, you confirm that:
- you know them personally, and the number is theirs;
- they'd expect to hear from you about making plans; and
- you won't add anyone who has asked you not to contact them.
Each text names you and says it came through bimpsin, and anyone can reply STOP to stop them. We limit how many texts go out and may pause or stop texting for any account to prevent spam or abuse.
Text message terms
- Program: bimpsin sends sign-in codes to people signing in, and plan invitations and updates to friends invited by a bimpsin user. See how our texts work.
- Frequency: varies with your sign-ins and the plans you're invited to.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply.
- Stop: reply STOP to any text to stop all texts from bimpsin. Reply START to get them again.
- Help: reply HELP, or email privacy@bimpsin.com.
- Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Acceptable use
Don't use bimpsin to:
- send spam, advertising, or messages to people you don't know;
- harass, threaten or impersonate anyone;
- post anything unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- break or get around our limits, security or other people's privacy settings; or
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer or overload the service.
Your content
You own what you put into bimpsin: plans, messages, notes and ideas. You give us permission to store, process and show it as needed to run bimpsin for you and the people you plan with, including through the service providers in our privacy policy. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people in your plans still need, and backups that are overwritten over time.
Calendars and other services
If you connect a calendar or sign in with Apple or Google, their terms also apply to your use of them. You can disconnect them at any time.
Suggestions are suggestions
bimpsin uses AI to read replies and suggest times, places and plans. It can get things wrong. Check details that matter, like times, places, tickets and travel, before relying on them. Information about places, weather and travel comes from other services, and we can't guarantee it's accurate.
The service
bimpsin is in an early test. We may change, add or remove features, and it may sometimes be unavailable. bimpsin is free during testing. If we ever charge for it, we'll tell you first and you can choose whether to continue.
Ending things
You can delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk, or stop offering bimpsin. If we stop offering it, we'll try to give you notice and a chance to export your data.
Disclaimers
bimpsin is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we aren't responsible for plans, meetups or what happens at them, or for what other people do.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of bimpsin. Our total liability for any claim about bimpsin is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and CAD $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and let you know before significant changes take effect. If you keep using bimpsin after that, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Manitoba, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
